Dental competence team is expanded

The question: "Bridge or implant?" can often only be decided with medical expertise. Actineo, a Verisk business, is expanding its in-house dental competence team in order to provide insurance customers with even better and more flexible support in claims and benefits processing in dental-related cases. The claims specialists have also recently become active in the Austrian insurance market for a first customer.

Rising numbers of supplementary dental policies, staff shortages and a lack of specialist experience are just some of the reasons why more and more (health) insurers are making use of Actineo's dental expertise. The responsible competence team - consisting of several invoicing experts with dental backgrounds - provides timely and flexible support and is reinforced by dentists from Actineo's medical network as needed.

Medical decision support for case handlers

With the help of the Actineo dental competence team, private health insurers (PHI) can improve their claims processing in comprehensive and supplementary dental insurance as well as in foreign health insurance, especially in more complex cases. For clients from the composite lines (motor vehicle liability, general liability and private accident insurance), the Actineo team in the social insurance recourse checks invoices according to GOZ (scale of fees for dentists), but also treatment and cost plans as well as laboratory costs in the dental field. Depending on the needs of the insurance client, the service can be provided as an individual expert opinion or as regular support in the insurance company's own claims system. As a result, the latter in particular - especially during peak times and when reducing arrears - leads to accelerated processing and thus also to more satisfied policyholders.
